Mycorrhizae MYKOS® are a natural and organic species of beneficial soil fungi that create a “spongy” mass that collects and stores nutrients and water, increasing the absorption of both. This single species of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi contains only Rhizophagus intraradices, formerly known as Glomus intraradices. MYKOS does not contain any other microbes such as Trichoderma or ectomycorrhizae.

MYKOS is a fast-growing beneficial fungus that increases nutrient and water uptake by forming a symbiotic relationship with a plant’s roots. MYKOS acts quickly and creates strong roots in 95% of common plants. Mykos is a single species of endomycorrhizal fungi, Rhizophagus intraradices, eliminating any type of root competition.
Why only endomycorrhizae?
Ectomycorrhizae have no beneficial effect on vegetables, fruits, flowers, and herbs.
MYKOS helps new plantings reduce transplant shock by stimulating the growth of new roots. MYKOS forms hyphae that increase root mass, resulting in greater nutrient and moisture absorption. The fungal network can transport nutrients over long distances and deliver them directly to the root cell. Plants supply energy to MYKOS in the form of carbohydrates produced during photosynthesis. Individual plants can connect with other plants through this mycorrhizal network, sharing nutrients, sugars, and water, while also attracting more soil microbes.
